Dr. Boren is Board-Certified with the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) and the American Board of Internal Medicine(ABIM). Before joining Kern Allergy Medical Clinic, Inc. in 2008, Dr. Boren was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Davis (2003-2006), where he also had a fellowship in Allergy/Immunology. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Santa Barbara College Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. He received his M.D. from University of California, Davis, a B.S. in Physiology from UCLA, and an Associate of Science in Biology from Bakersfield College. Dr. Boren has published several articles in medical journals.

His passion for medical research has had an outlet as an Investigator in phase III and phase IV Clinical Research trials since 2008.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) and the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI).

Dr. Boren is a Bakersfield native. He is an avid sports fan, and proud father of two children.
